The Police comprise of singer/bassist Sting, guitarist Andy Summers, and drummer Stewart Copeland. The unique British Band became internationally all the rage in the early 1980’s, their music a unique combination of reggae and punk. Their album, Synchronicity, was number one in both the UK and the US in 1983. It went Platinum eight times in the US.
Although the band broke up in the late 1980’s, they reunited this year to perform at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards and play at the Live Earth Concert in July 2007. They have announced that they will be touring during 2007-8.
